The Xesta Slow Emotion Flap jigs come in Tear Drop shape and have been designed to thrive in Slow Jigging. This has possibly been one of the most successful fishing techniques in the Mediterranean Sea, in the recent years. Many fishermen around the world prefer the "Slow Jig", which unlike "Speed Jig" does not require strong swinging of the rod and rapid reeling of the line. It incorporates smooth, calculated movements of the rod, which like the multiplier should be a suitable model for "slow Jigging".

The Xesta Flap jigs have a peculiar motion. The front part is designed in a way that a slight pitch, self-propels the jig laterally. After self-propelled, a flat striking action is generated towards the front and this automatically gives to predators the opportunity to attack. The jig momentarily positions itself in a horizontal posture. If you perform long lifts with the rod, do not make sudden jerks, as the jig will rise towards the surface, without altering the flat posture of the jig.

When leaving some slack, the Xesta Slow Flap falls at an accelerating pace, but in a flat position.

The Xesta Slow Emotion Flap is a pilot jig, that will trigger instincts in many scenes and retrieval styles, whether these are long jerks, fast jerks, with pauses, etc. One technique that has proven its worth is to make the first strike and jerk and then allow the jig to fall freely.

The finishing on these jigs is truly second to none and they are fish slayers through and through. These jigs are hugely popular globally, and it isn't hard to see why. This jig is extremely easy to work, and imparts an action that few fish can resist. It is elegant and fine, reaching great depths and attracting many different fish like Dentex, Amberjack, Red Snapper, Tuna, Barracuda, Swordfish and different types of Groupers.

Fishing at a depth of 60-70 meters requires jigs up to 120 grams, depending on the currents, and a softer rod with the appropriate action is recommended. If it is deeper, or in very strong current, the weight is from 150 to 180 grams with a stronger Slow Jigging rod.
