The new Stradic FL - successor of the FK - will of course carry the name with pride, as it is based on the same principles: strong and reliable. However, there are some new, exciting features on the FL that bring about an evolution in Casting, Reeling and Durability, Stradic FL. Featuring technologies such as the Silent Drive and Micromodule Gear II, the Stradic reeling performance, now approaches flagship levels. For the first time in Stradic’s class, Shimano has implemented a Long Stroke Spool, for better and improved casting distance. If line casting is a priority for you, as it is for most anglers, the upgraded long stroke spool, will offer you increased casting reach, due to the improved line flow from the spool. Up to now it was only available in the Stella and Vanquish models, but now you can get it on the Stradic FL.
The Micromodule II Cold Forged gear, without any changes in the material, or gear size, brought about amazing improvements in strength. You will experience a rotational smoothness and Power transfer, never before achieved in a reel at this price range.
Silent Drive Technology, for microscopic level tolerances and Durability have been further improved, through the X-Protect technology that offers maximum protection, in the harshest saltwater environments; these are also available on the Shimano Stradic FL. Shimano’s water repellant coating and specially designed labyrinth construction, ensure a lifetime of top level performance, by stopping water penetration, in key areas without adding a heavy rotational feel.
